LITTLE NAMED RAISING CANE’S OUTSTANDING REBEL OF THE WEEK
The sophomore earned his first career collegiate victory at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate
UNLV men’s golf sophomore Zach Little has been named the Raising Cane’s Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Wednesday.
Little earns the recognition for the first time this season, while it’s the second time a Scarlet & Gray men’s golfer has won the weekly award.
The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.
Little, a native of Croxley Green, England, led the Rebels to their second team win of the 2024-25 campaign. He earned his first career collegiate victory at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate, taking home co-medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 11-under 199.
Over the weekend, he also set the par-70 course record at the Ocean Course at Hokuala during the event, shooting a bogey-free 7-under 63 in the tournament’s second round. His 63 moved him into a tie for the program’s second-lowest score in a single round and his 199 tied him for the fifth-lowest 54-hole score in school history.
