The UNLV men’s basketball team will play UCLA out of the Pac-12 Conference in a home-and-home series beginning this season, Director of Athletics Desiree Reed-Francois announced Tuesday.

The Runnin’ Rebels, under first-year head coach T.J. Otzelberger, will play at Pauley Pavilion on the campus of UCLA on Friday, November 15, 2019, while the return game of the two-year series is scheduled for the Thomas & Mack Center on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

“Runnin’ Rebel fans have craved this matchup for years and we are pleased it has come to fruition,” Reed-Francois said. “UCLA is a storied program, one of the most recognizable in college basketball history, and will make an outstanding regional series with national interest. As we work to continue to enhance our future schedules, the Bruins have the type of program from a strong conference that fits our philosophy well in terms of opponent attractiveness and positioning our team for postseason play.”

Runnin’ Rebel season tickets are on sale now and start as low as $119. To purchase, visit UNLVtickets.com, call 702-739-FANS (3267) or visit the Thomas & Mack Center Box Office.

UCLA, which finished 17-16 overall last season and seventh in the Pac-12 with a 9-9 conference mark, is also under a first-year head coach in Mick Cronin.

The Bruins lead the all-time series with UNLV, 5-0. The last meeting took place in the 2015 Maui Invitational, while these scheduled games will mark the first in the home venues between the two since 1997 and 1998.

UNLV has recently announced three other two-year home-and-home series’ with Cal, SMU and Kansas State. Additional 2019-20 UNLV men’s basketball schedule details will be announced soon.
