ROTELLA GALLERY DEBUTS DAVID YARROW’S MESMERIZING
EXHIBIT OF BLACK & WHITE WORKS FROM HIS
2014 SPEAR’S AWARD-WINNING BOOK ENCOUNTER
Acclaimed Photographer’s Work Now Available at Rotella Gallery Inside The Forum Shops at Caesars
Rotella Gallery, the definitive fine-art photography gallery in Las Vegas located at The Forum Shops at Caesars, adds to its impressive collection of Resident Artists with David Yarrow’s limited edition prints. Yarrow, who claimed the Outstandingly Produced Book award at this year’s Spear’s Awards, will display his award-winning prints as well as several new, previously unseen works for guest viewing and purchase.
David Yarrow is an acclaimed photographer who has travelled to some of the world’s most isolated locations to capture unique images of wildlife, indigenous communities and landscapes.
A central tenet of David’s photography is that “behind every picture there is a story.” He will stop at nothing to secure mesmerizing pictures, using black and white photography to enhance contrast and create timeless and soulful images. Bouts of frostbite, plane crashes and confrontations with dangerous wildlife do not weaken David’s drive and passion to capture shots that transcend mainstream offerings. With regards to his upcoming residency at Rotella Gallery, Yarrow notes, “Robert Rotella has a vision that I greatly admire. He is a passionate man who craves excellence in himself and others. I immediately identified with that and am so looking forward to working with him.”
Having quickly gained the attention of art photography aficionados from around the world with their impressive collections featuring the works of Robert Rotella and Art Wolfe, as well as guest artist Michael Levin, Rotella Gallery is thrilled to add the mesmerizing black and white photography from David Yarrow. “David Yarrow is a masterful storyteller whose medium is photography,” explains Robert Rotella. “His imagery evokes feelings of drama, emotion, and sensuality. We are honored and delighted to present his work.”
Born in Scotland and now living in London, David, 48, began his photographic career recording the world’s greatest sporting events. As a 20-year old, while still a student at Edinburgh University, he had already been named ‘Young Scottish Photographer of the Year’ and covered the Mexico World Cup Finals for The Times. His shot of Maradona holding the trophy aloft has become an iconic image of that tournament. He was an accredited photographer for Allsports, later part of Getty Images, before turning his lens on the natural world to capture its endangered beauty.
David’s Encounter collection was launched in November 2013, and has already been shown in iconic UK-based locations including London’s Saatchi Gallery, the Phillip’s Gallery and, most recently at Christie’s global headquarters (8 King Street). The collection has gained international exposure with shows in New York and Hong Kong
David’s photographic travels have given him genuine insights into key environmental and geopolitical issues. This knowledge is put to practical use in his long-term commitment to Tusk Trust, the African conservation charity, for which he is an affiliated photographer. Tusk, whose Royal Patron is HRH the Duke of Cambridge, receives 10% of sales from David’s prints and books to support its 53 projects in 18 African countries (www.tusk.org). Since November 2013, David Yarrow Photography has contributed over $100,000 to this leading conservation charity. David is the author of two fine-art photography books: Nowhere (2007), and Encounter (2013).
Rotella Gallery is located at The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas (3500 South Las Vegas Blvd, Suite R30, Las Vegas, NV 89109/702-431-6030).

About Rotella Gallery:
Since its inception, Rotella Gallery has remained committed to offer Fine Art Photography as collectible and unique. Our two current artists, Robert Rotella and Art Wolfe, bring subject matter to life in often idiosyncratic and unpredictable fashion. In true artistic form, Art Wolfe has culminated his talent as a painter and as a master photographer and created his latest body of work entitled “Human Canvas.” The collection is offered in “Signature Editions of 200” and “Exclusive Editions of 12”. Robert Rotella, whose work with macro-photography is unrivalled, has traveled the globe to capture an often overlooked and unseen world. His compelling images capture everything from the ethereal grandeur of Arizona’s canyon and mountain landscapes to the fleeting beauty of bleeding heart flowers refracted through a morning dewdrop. His flagship offering comprises edition sizes of only 100.
While Rotella Gallery is currently comprised of two artists it is not limited to exclusivity with its artists. Finding David Yarrow and his stunning subject matter has been a welcomed addition to our gallery. We believe David’s work will strongly complement Rotella Gallery’s commitment to offering the medium of Fine Art Photography as “collectible” and “unique”. David’s images evoke an audience response that is nothing short of “awe”. With unique stories behind each image, we believe David’s addition to the gallery will offer our collectors a tremendous opportunity to acquire highly collectible imagery that are hand signed, numbered and available through both our New York and Las Vegas galleries. His edition sizes currently remain at only 60. With plans to expand our presence on a global scale, we feel our current and future collector base will revel in delight as our offering is broadened.
