Roma Kitchen to Open this September in Southern Highlands

Upscale eatery to be open for dinner with Italian classics and a full bar

As the burgeoning southwest area of Las Vegas continues its rapid growth, as does its culinary scene with the addition of Roma Kitchen, set to open next month in Southern Highlands. Located at 10420 S Decatur Blvd #100, near S. Decatur Boulevard and Cactus Avenue, Roma Kitchen will be open seven days a week, serving an array of delicious Italian fare and cocktails. An official opening date will be announced in the coming days.

Prepared fresh daily, menu selections include a variety of traditional pasta, hearty meat dishes, fresh seafood and shareable appetizers, along with an array of refreshing salads. Signature selections include calamari, prepared crispy with spicy marinara sauce for dipping; robust stuffed artichokes topped with olive oil, parmesan and garlic; chicken piccata with butter, white wine and capers, served atop pasta; chicken marsala, sauteed with marsala wine and topped with mushrooms, served with seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes; and bone-in veal parmigiana, perfect for sharing, that is tenderized, breaded and topped with flavorful pomodoro sauce and mozzarella cheese. Dessert selections include housemade cheesecake, tiramisu and locally sourced gelato.

For those who want to take a bit of Roma Kitchen back to their own homes, the restaurant’s signature meatballs, as well as Bolognese and pomodoro sauces, are available for purchase.

Spirits will run high at Roma Kitchen, with a full bar, wine and beer to complement each meal. Signature cocktails include the Smoked Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned, made with bourbon, simple syrup, bitters, cherries and orange peel; and the Nitro-Infused Espresso Martini, with vodka, Baileys, Kahlua and espresso, available on tap. More than a dozen red and white wines will be available by the glass, and many more by the bottle. Roma Kitchen will also launch its spirits locker program this fall, in which guests may reserve their own permanent, monogrammed locker to fill with the spirits and wines of their choice, conveniently available for each time they visit the restaurant. A daily happy hour will be available at the bar from 4 to 6 p.m. featuring $10 martinis, $10 food specials, $3 off wine by the glass and $2 off beer.

The nearly 3,000-square-foot space will accommodate more than 100 guests with a mix of tables, banquettes and a full bar. Roma Kitchen is well-appointed, featuring a wall of imported Italian porcelain with an expo window offering a glimpse into the kitchen. The space combines natural light with modern chandeliers, creating an ideal setting for a meal. Contrasting white and black elements are complemented by gold finishes, natural brick walls, a black stone bar and porcelain floors.

Roma Kitchen is owned and operated by seasoned hospitality leader Steven Kennedy, along with Executive Chef Ricardo Romo at the helm of the kitchen. Roma Kitchen is the second venture for the duo, who currently own and operate Chef’s Roma Kitchen on W. Horizon Ridge Parkway. Kennedy has achieved decades of success through developments and partnerships with prominent entities such as Light Group, TAO Group, Paris Las Vegas, Caesars Entertainment and Wolfgang Puck, among others. Chef Romo, a culinary industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, brings his expertise to Roma Kitchen, having held key roles at STK, Beer Park, Corner Bar Hospitality Group, and most recently, as executive chef at Mastro’s Ocean Club within The Shops at Crystals at Aria Resort & Casino.
