ROGERS ART LOFT ANNOUNCES YEAR FOUR ROSTER OF
ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCY PARTICIPANTS
The Rogers Art Loft at The Lucy, a multi-disciplinary artist residency program dedicated to inclusivity, originality, and empowerment of artists, has finalized its 2023/2024 roster of artists. The impactful residency offers artists, both national and international, the opportunity to live and work in a first-of-its-kind creative community – The Lucy – in vibrant Downtown Las Vegas.
“We are so honored to continue our mission of supporting artists in all stages of their careers through residencies and by creating safe spaces for creative exploration and community engagement,” said Lance L. Smith, Residency Director, Rogers Art Loft. “The nine artists are each so talented and we cannot wait for them to share their craft with our community.”
Since launching with its inaugural roster of artists in June 2019, The Rogers Art Loft has successfully welcomed nearly 30 artists and hosted more than 70 events – both in-person and virtually – from a variety of disciplines including printmaking, sculpture, video and performance art, fiber arts, and collage, to share their artistic practice and process with the Las Vegas community.
While participating in the multi-disciplinary Rogers Art Loft program, each artist will have access to a creative workspace at the nearby Rogers Studio Gallery and will prepare and offer a variety of opportunities to engage with the public and with the arts community including an introductory Artist Talk, Community Workshop, and a Culminating Exhibition. Each artist residency is approximately four-eight weeks long, depending on the artist’s needs and art practices.

The brainchild of local philanthropist and patron of the arts Beverly Rogers, the Rogers Art Loft is made possible by The Rogers Foundation, dedicated to transforming lives through arts and education in Southern Nevada.
“We are excited about what’s to come this year as we welcome additional artists and further elevate Las Vegas with the creation of art, dialogue, community engagement, and new collaborations,” said Beverly Rogers, Chairman of the Board, The Rogers Foundation. “The caliber of talent is really impressive we look forward to being uplifted by the creativity and passion they will share with our community.”
While participating in the multi-disciplinary Rogers Art Loft program, each artist will reside at the Rogers Art Loft at The Lucy complex – a creative hub and home to writers-in-residence from Black Mountain Institute, an independent bookstore: Writer’s Block, and other local Las Vegas writers, artists, and entrepreneurs.
