For the ninth consecutive year, MGM Resorts International is partnering with Rock ‘n Roll Wine to host the highly anticipated wine and music event “Wine Amplified Festival.” Based on the event’s growth and increased popularity, the two-day festival will be held for the first time at the lot across from Luxor Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11. The larger-than-ever event will begin at 4 p.m. both days and feature headliners Train and Blink 182 in addition to performances by Violent Femmes, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Magic!, Better than Ezra, The Mowgli’s, of Verona and Mystic Roots, among others.
Early-bird two-day general admission tickets priced at $99 and VIP tickets priced at $249, not including applicable service charges, go on sale Thursday, July 17 at 10 a.m. Two-day general admission tickets priced at $129 and VIP tickets priced at $299, not including applicable service charges, go on sale Thursday, July 24 at 10 a.m. Single day tickets also will be available and priced at $69 for general admission and $159 for VIP. This year’s wine-tasting and music festival will be a high-energy, interactive experience that revolutionizes the way wine is presented, perceived and enjoyed. The venue will be transformed into a sublime slice of wine country featuring more than 60 wineries, 150 wines and 20 craft beers. Additional highlights and details include a hidden speakeasy, barrel tasting, grape stomping, libation lounge and a wide-variety of food truck options. This year’s festival will be a completely cashless event utilizing the latest in radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology. Patrons will be able to load money on their RFID wristbands and use it to purchase wine, beer, food and festival merchandise.

American rock band Train is set to headline the festival Friday, Oct. 10 at 10:30 p.m. The two-time GRAMMY Award-winning band will perform its most popular hits including “Meet Virginia,” “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)” and “Hey, Soul Sister,” among others. Also scheduled to perform Friday evening are Michael Franti & Spearhead, Better than Ezra, of Verona and Mystic Roots. Punk rock band Blink 182 is set to headline Saturday, Oct. 11 at 10:30 p.m. With smashing hits such as “Dammit,” “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things,” the New York Times claimed “no punk band of the 1990s has been more influential than Blink 182.” Also slated to appear Saturday night are Violent Femmes, Magic! and The Mowgli’s.
