“BATTLEBOTS: DESTRUCT-A-THON” HOSTS 100th LIVE ROBOT-COMBAT SHOW, ADDS ADDITIONAL SHOW DUE TO HIGH DEMAND

 

 “BATTLEBOTS: DESTRUCT-A-THON,” the live robot-combat experience inspired by the popular TV series and hailed as “an incredibly exciting evening of robotic mayhem,” recently celebrated its 100th show at the BattleBots Arena near the Las Vegas Strip. Due to the growing popularity of robot-combat sports, BattleBots has added another “DESTRUCT-A-THON” show to its weekly roster on Tuesdays at 6 p.m.

Since opening on the Las Vegas Strip this February, “DESTRUCT-A-THON” has welcomed more than 50,000 fans from across the globe and many notable celebrities, including Criss Angel, Adam Carolla, Piff the Magic Dragon, Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, Matt Iseman from American Ninja Warrior, BattleBots TV show ring announcer Faruq Tauheed and Perez Hilton.

To date, Kraken continues to reign as the most winning robot on the show with a 65 to 32 win/loss record. New ShowBot Bronco has also surprised audiences and upheld a perfect winning streak with 20 wins in a row.
