Chef Taylor Persh Announces Exclusive 5-Week Dinner Series

‘Story of A Muse’ Will Offer Nine Courses In A Culinary Narrative

Taylor Persh, best known in Las Vegas as the Executive Chef of the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea dinners at the Lost Spirits Distillery in Area 15, has announced her return to the Vegas dining scene with an independent pop-up dinner series, starting August 30th.

Inspired by the traditions of Ancient Greco-Roman Theatre, the nine course dinner entitled ‘Story of a Muse’ will take its guests on a sensory journey from sea to land offering several new creations by Chef Taylor, as well as a few favorites from her 20,000 Leagues menu. Taking place in the sky atrium of Palms Casino Resort’s former Nove Italiano space on the 53rd floor, the experience is set to be as memorable for its setting as for the food.

The gastronomic adventure will be presented in a very limited run of exactly twenty seatings of twenty diners each, every Friday and Saturday from August 30th through September 28th, at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Priced at $300 per person with optional wine pairing for $125 and a non-alcoholic pairing for $100 (+ tax and gratuity), tickets are available HERE

“We created Story of a Muse to remind ourselves of our power and mortality. To reinvent ourselves through a new story, and use the ideology of ancient Greek muses to amplify that idea that you cannot feel great love without immense loss. While the muses were immortal, they still overcame great obstacles to prove to their audience that life and death is insignificant, what lives on is truly the legacy,”  says Chef Taylor.

About Chef Taylor Persh

A native of Southern California, Taylor Persh has had many conventional and unconventional culinary experiences since pursuing her dream of cooking professionally at the Culinary Institute of America in St Helena. These include time in the kitchens of Chefs such as Vinny Dotolo & Jon Shook; Wolfgang Puck; Ludo Lefebvre (Michelin-starred Trois Mec), Jose Andres (The Bazaar, West Hollywood) and Ori Menache (Bestia), before spending nearly two years developing concepts with the HWood group.

She arguably made her first mark with “Fish or Flesh.” a choreographed culinary experience in Los Angeles telling the story of The Island of Dr. Moreau, which Forbes declared, “Equal parts wildly different, eclectic, and magnificent.” From there, she was drafted to create and execute “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” a high concept dining experience for Lost Spirits Distillery inside Area 15 in Las Vegas, NV, which The New York Times called, “Innovative and masterful.”

Her talents, passion, and renegade spirit paved the way for her vision to change the way people see the hospitality industry. With a goal to challenge the standard conventions, Chef Persh prides herself on creating a new kitchen culture by pushing the limits of gastronomy and maintaining a closer relationship with both her guests and staff. Through music, aroma, eclectic aesthetics, and of course, taste – as well as utilizing mythology, literature, nostalgia, and pop culture – Chef Persh takes her guests on a sensory journey from sea to land for an experience that is equally personal and (hopefully) universal.

Twenty years into her culinary journey, “Story of A Muse” is her first truly independent project.
