REBELS READY FOR MOUNTAIN WEST CHAMPIONSHIPS IN HOUSTON

The UNLV women’s swimming and diving team will head to the Lone Star State this week to compete in the Mountain West Championships from Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 19-22 at CRWC Natatorium on the campus of the University of Houston.
The meet opens with Wednesday’s events, including the 1-meter diving prelims at 10 a.m. PT and the 1-meter finals in between two relay events in the opening finals session at 4 p.m. PT. All subsequent event prelims are set to start at 8:30 a.m. PT ahead of the finals sessions scheduled for 4 p.m. PT from Thursday-Saturday.

REBELS ATOP THE MOUNTAIN WEST: The Rebels’ 800 free relay team of sophomore Ava Olson, freshman Grace Wharton, junior Erika Carlson and senior Bridget Sullivan leads the conference in the event with a time of 7:13.05.
DIVING SEASON LEADERS: Leading the Scarlet & Gray women divers in all events, senior Vika Yanovska currently holds team-best scores on the 1-meter springboard (318.00), 3-meter springboard (339.50) and on platform (257.65).
