The UNLV women’s swimming and diving program was named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team for the Spring 2022 semester, the national organization announced Tuesday. This marks the 12th time in the last 13 semesters that the Rebel women’s team – which posted a 3.21 GPA – has earned Scholar recognition.
“Coach Loorz continues to make an impact in our sport and at UNLV,” said CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany. “The consistent success of these women in the classroom is just another testament to that.”
The Spring Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the semester/quarter coinciding with the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. UNLV was among the 441 institutions to be honored across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions.
