The UNLV women’s soccer program has received a signed commitment from Dutch goalkeeper Hanne Breur to join the team this fall, head coach Jenny Ruiz-Williams announced Thursday.

A native of De Bilt, Netherlands, Breur spent the 2022 season at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. As a freshman with the Eagles, she notched a program-record 13 shutouts to rank second among all NAIA programs, while also sitting inside the top 5 for save percentage (.902) and goals against average (0.42). Additionally, Breur earned First Team All-Cascade Collegiate Conference honors after helping lead Northwest to the most wins (17) in school history and a league title.

Breur is the second goalkeeper of the Rebels’ eight-member 2023 signing class, which also includes Lucia Guemes from Spain at the same position. The incoming group of signees also features three California natives – Kam Jalayer, Cassie Villanueva and Ryan Woodards – a Las Vegas local in Trinity Buchanan, Elizabeth Bautista from Hawaii and a Texas native in Amaya Haley.
