Annual community fundraiser supports the center’s no-cost
educational, therapeutic and support programming

 Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health will once again commemorate National Alzheimer’s Disease and Family Caregiver Awareness Month in November with “Month of Memories,” a grassroots community fundraising campaign inviting Las Vegans to shop and dine at local businesses in support of Alzheimer’s resources.

From Nov. 1-30, restaurants, bars and retailers across the valley will offer specialty cocktails, dishes and promotions to raise awareness for the devastating neurological disease affecting many of the Nevadans walking through the doors of the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and their dedicated family caregivers, while raising funds to provide no-cost educational, therapeutic and support programming.

Additionally, Keep Memory Alive will hold its Texas Hold ‘em Charity Poker Tournament on Friday, Nov. 8 at the Keep Memory Alive Event Center. Hosted by casino legend Jack Binion and seven-time World Series of Poker Bracelet Winner Daniel “Kid Poker’ Negreanu, beginners through advanced players are invited to compete for extraordinary prizes, including $10,000 cash. Guests will enjoy a night of exceptional wine and spirits tastings, cocktail demonstrations, entertainment, raffles and a dine-around culinary experience by The Sin City Chef.

Check in is 5 p.m. with a skills tutorial at 5:30 p.m. and tournament play starting at 6:30 p.m. Seat buy-in is $800 or a party ticket is $200 and available at keepmemoryalive.org/event/2024-keep-memory-alive-charity-poker-tournament/. Capacity is limited.
