L.A. Comedy Club has announced its September lineup at the newly opened Dragon’s Edge showroom at Edgewater Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada. L.A. Comedy Club at Edgewater offers shows at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. nightly from Wednesday through Sunday. The L.A. Comedy Club presents James Michael’s Redneck Comedy Show at 7 p.m. nightly. A hilarious lineup will take the stage nightly at 9 p.m., including Jay Reid, Shang, Marc Ryan, Peter Berman and Chris Cope, whose combined credits span CBS, BET, HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime and more. - 7 p.m.: James Michael’s Redneck Comedy Show
Michael, a Mississippi native, is a part-time tattoo artist, fitness model and comedic magician. Known for his sleight of hand, comedic timing and fun antics on stage, Michael has brought laughs around the world for more than 30 years by means of cruise ships, corporate functions, and television shows. He has been named among Las Vegas’ top 10 magicians for three consecutive years and has been awarded the silver medal winner of the best magic show in Las Vegas in 2020.

- Wednesday, Aug. 30 through Sunday, Sept. 3: Jay Reid
Jay Reid is a stand-up comedian and Las Vegas native, who started performing at small clubs when he was 19. Reid’s first big break came when he was selected to be a contestant on BET’s “Coming to the Stage” comedy competition. After appearing on the show, Reid started booking performances at notable comedy clubs such as the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. After winning comedian Bill Bellamy’s “Who’s Got Jokes?,” he toured alongside Bellamy as well as being in Showtime’s “Ladies Night Out Comedy Special.”
- Wednesday, Sept. 6 through Sunday, Sept. 10: Shang
Shang, a transplanted New Yorker, has evolved his stand-up comedy to socio-political satire. The 2011 Famecast Comedy Winner, Shang has been featured on numerous comedy programs including CBS’ “The Late Late Show,” HBO’s “Def Jam & Poetry” and Comedy Central’s “Jamie Foxx Laffapaloolza,” among others as well as a two-time winner of BET’s “Comic View Grand Stand.” His credits also include guest roles on NBC’s “Heroes” and CBS’ “CSI” and “NCIS” in addition to co-starring for Honda in a recent commercial campaign and the feature films “Devine Intervention” and “Trunked!” He has several upcoming international specials and his “Shang is SHANGRY! Live in NYC” premiered in late 2020.
- Wednesday, Sept. 13 through Sunday, Sept. 17: Marc Ryan
Marc Ryan is a comedian, writer and television personality from Louisiana. After watching late night comedy shows while in high school, he went on to take the stage at open mics around New Orleans and was a writer for former NBC president, Brandon Tartikoff. Ryan has appeared on shows including NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” CMT’s “Greatest Redneck Moments,” Comedy Central’s “Best of the Improv,” as well as the TBS special “Pit Stop Comedy.” He has released five comedy albums, which regularly air on SiriusXM Radio, and has headlined national and international tours.
- Wednesday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 24: Peter Berman
Peter Berman is a comedian and actor, who hosted the nationally syndicated morning radio show, “Morning Sickness” and wrote for “The Howard Stern Radio Program.” Featured on “Comedy Central Presents,” he also appeared on IFC’s comedy series “Maron” as well as performed in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada and for American troops in Afghanistan.
- Wednesday, Sept. 27 through Sunday, Oct. 1: Chris Cope
A Florida-native now based in Los Angeles, Chris Cope has made appearances on shows such as TBS’s “Conan,” FOX’s “Laughs,” Comedy Central’s “Tosh.0,” ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” Aside from his live and on-screen performances, Chris won the 2015 Big Sky Comedy Festival and appeared as a guest judge twice on the 2018 culinary show “Cooking on High.” His comedy album, “White Trash Super Computer,” debuted to high success, ranking in the top 10 on Amazon and top 25 on iTunes.
