Poppy Den Announces New Summer Menu

Chef Angelo Sosa Features Lighter Cuisine and American Classics
with a Modern Asian Twist

Poppy Den is pleased to announce a new summer menu. Available through September, a collection of herb-flavored meats, fresh seafood and salads were created by award-winning chef and culinary innovator, Angelo Sosa.

“Summer is a great opportunity to create refreshing dishes with amazing flavor,” said Chef Angelo Sosa. “We’ve added more salads, incorporated herbs and light dressings to balance the bold flavors of fish and meats and give American favorites like coleslaw, mac & cheese and beer floats a modern twist.”

Chef Angelo created new Small Plates to prepare the palette for a pleasing dining experience. Among the new array of appetizers include the Asian Lobster Roll, Crab Cake with Russian Wasabi Dressing, Caesar Salad Lily’s Favorite with fresh white fish, Caprese Salad with Heirloom Tomatoes, Beef Lettuce Cup with Fresh Herbs and the signature Pupu Platter now features Sweet Pea Soup, Caprese Salad, Watermelon Salad, Meatballs and Deviled Tuna.

New summer entrees include Mahi Mahi, Grilled Tuna Steak with Red Pepper and Basil, Roasted Orange Chicken with watercress and ginger, Grilled NY Strip with Corn Pudding and asparagus salad and Pork Chop with Spiced Apple Sauce. To compliment the seasonal entrees, Poppy Den puts a twist on classics like Mac and Cheese and (Asian) Coleslaw.

As the temperatures rise, guests can cool down with new summer desserts and beverages including Chocolate and Vanilla Tiramisu, Yuzu Panna Cotta and even Beer Floats made with ice cream and sorbet. In addition, Sake Sangria makes its debuts on the new menu. A blend of Sake and Sangria made with Gekkeikan Junmai Sake, Nagiomi White Peach Syrup and fresh fruits, with a secret ingredient concocted by Poppy Den’s mixologist Julian Luna.
