CABO WABO CANTINA INSIDE MIRACLE MILE SHOPS SERVES AS NEVADA’S BIG GIVE HEADQUARTERS, APRIL 25

Nevada’s Big Give raises more than $472,000 for Nevada nonprofits in 24 hours

On Friday, April 25, Cabo Wabo Cantina inside Miracle Mile Shops served as the official campaign headquarters for Nevada’s Big Give, which raised $472,000 in 24 hours of online giving for charities throughout the state of Nevada.

Throughout the day, visitors, community leaders and local celebrities stopped by the Nevada’s Big Give headquarters in the upstairs room at Cabo Wabo Cantina and made donations and personal contributions to the campaign and their favorite charity. Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller, State Senators Mike Roberson and Ruben Kihuen, Clark County School District Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky, comedian Jeff Civillico, Travis Cloer from Jersey Boys, UNLV cheerleaders with the UNLV mascot Hey Reb and cast members from Jabbawockeez and X Burlesque showed their support for the statewide giving campaign.

Throughout the event, the center’s exterior, Strip-side LED screens displayed the total amount of money raised during Nevada’s biggest day of giving. Miracle Mile Shops partnership with Nevada’s Big Give is part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign celebrating a year of change in 2014 through monthly fountain fundraisers, community partnerships and cash and in-kind donations.

Nevada’s Big Give, launched by NevadaGIVES, is a unique, high-visibility promotion of personal giving designed to bring new donors and dollars to nonprofit organizations throughout the state.
