TROPICANA LAS VEGAS HOSTED “SALUTE THE TROOPS” DINNER EXPERIENCE AT ROBERT IRVINE’S PUBLIC HOUSE

Iconic property honors wounded warriors with a special tribute dinner at Robert Irvine’s Public House

On Sunday afternoon (Oct. 15, 2017) Tropicana Las Vegas hosted a special “Salute the Troops” dinner experience at the all-new Robert Irvine’s Public House. As a part of a multi-day trip sponsored in part by American Airlines, the property along with Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine honored more than 70 wounded warriors and their guests with a multi-course dinner affair, complete with live entertainment by the Phil Vandel Band.

“It is truly an honor for Tropicana Las Vegas to team up with Airpower Foundation, as a part of its ‘Salute the Troops’ event here in Las Vegas, and host the brave men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to ensure the freedom of this nation,” said Aaron Rosenthal, VP and General Manager for Tropicana Las Vegas. “We’re proud to celebrate our active and retired military and honor their ongoing heroic efforts with a special dinner experience at our newest restaurant, Robert Irvine’s Public House.”

Known for its pub-like atmosphere, Robert Irvine’s Public House treated guests to a three-course dinner featuring a range of comfort food options inspired by Chef Irvine’s culinary travels from around the world. The restaurant kicked off the evening with appetizers such as hickory smoked chicken wings and lump crab and pancetta arancini. Following, guests were able to enjoy a select choice of entrees including a 10 ounce Creekstone Farms skirt steak and frites; Kurobutu pork chop; and ponzu glazed grilled salmon. To top off the occasion, guests were able to indulge in the restaurant’s signature s’mores dip dessert featuring Valrhona chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers.

Assistant General Manager Mike Thoma and Chef Irvine mixed and mingled with guests throughout the evening, and later celebrated the wounded warriors and their guests with kind words and presented a custom military-inspired cake in honor of the special event.
