Photos: Mayor Goodman Welcomes MTO Café to Downtown Las Vegas

Tuesday Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman, Ward 3 Councilman Bob Coffin and other city officials gathered for the official ribbon cutting to MTO Café. The new downtown eatery, which was awarded a $50,000 Quick Start Program grant by the City Council, opened its doors after a ceremonial presentation in front of the café before guests headed inside for a tour. Mayor Goodman remarked that she was thrilled to have a great spot so close to the office as she dined with fellow city workers and enjoyed the MTO Breakfast, complete with three eggs, bacon, toast and mashed potato stuffed hash browns.

MTO Café is the brainchild of Matt Moore and Ben Sabouri, and features fresh comfort food from chef partner Johnny Church.  Located across from the Las Vegas City Hall on the ground floor of the city parking garage, the 65-seat eatery pairs a modern industrial design with a retro comfort feel highlighted by a fourteen seat communal table ideal for the collaborative business environment of downtown.
