Peyote Debuts The Roast, a Sunday Gastro Series
Inspired by Summer Nights off the Coast of Baja
Peyote, Corner Bar Management’s retro Palm Springs-inspired patio and restaurant located at 1028 Fremont St, introduces a sultry new monthly cocktail hour and dinner experience, The Roast, next occurring on Sunday, Sept. 17.
Personally curated and meticulously crafted by Executive Chef Daniel Arias, the Sunday series will be inspired by seaside nights spent in Baja California. Each month, the experience will begin with a cocktail hour featuring spritz & aperitivo stations, followed by a family-style communal dinner and dessert with mezcal and Montenegro, set to the sounds of a live DJ. Chef Arias’ menu, which will be customized for each installment, will take guests on a journey of live-fire cuisine.
Hosted in collaboration with Gallo Wine and Spirits and the Johnson Brothers, The Roast will occur next on Sunday, Sept. 17 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., with more installments to be announced. Tickets for The Roast are $85 per person and can be reserved here, beginning Friday, Aug. 18.
Raised in the border town of Calexico where his family ran a restaurant, Chef Daniel became accustomed to seeing fresh seafood reeled in from the Gulf of Mexico and hearing it crackle and char on the grill. At 17, he moved to Las Vegas to pick up the craft of the kitchen, which inspired culinary travels around the world to learn new techniques and flavors he brought with him to heralded restaurants like é by Jose Andrés. In 2020, Chef Daniel partnered with La Mona Rosa Executive Chef Isidro Marquez-Castillo, who was born and raised on his family’s farm in Puebla, to launch Mexican seafood pop-up concept, The Black Pearl. Its success would lead him to Peyote, where he continues to sharpen his culinary swords with forward-thinking and seasonal menus, inspired by the vast and varied flavors of Latin America.
