LADY REBELS INK TWO GUARDS FOR NEXT SEASON
Teagan Colvin and Elli Guiney will join the Lady Rebels for the 2024-25 season
UNLV women’s basketball has signed Teagan Colvin and Elli Guiney to National Letters of Intent, head coach Lindy La Rocque announced today.
Teagan Colvin | 5-7 | Point Guard | Coeur d’Alene High School | Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
Colvin is a 5-foot-7 point guard from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, who is ranked among ESPN Top 100 recruits, Wootten Top 150 and John Lucas Top 160. Colvin is a two-time All-State first team selection and a three-time All-League first team honoree. During her junior season, Colvin was named the league and state tournament MVP after leading the Vikings to an Idaho State championship. She averaged 18.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 5.9 steals and 1.2 blocks as a junior and was named the MaxPreps Player of the Year for Idaho.
Colvin was invited to the Under Armour Future 60 camp, which welcomes the best prospects to IMG Academy to participate in on-court instruction, skill development, and competition in addition to a variety of off-the-court training sessions.
La Rocque: “Teagan was a highly recruited guard that chose us over some quality programs. We could not be more thrilled to add her competitiveness, leadership and basketball IQ to the team. Her presence will be felt as soon as she steps on campus in the classroom and on the court.”
Elli Guiney | 5-11 | Shooting Guard | Millennium High School | Goodyear, Ariz.
Guiney is a 5-foot-11 shooting guard from Goodyear, Ariz., who is a two-time All-State first team selection, two-time Region Player of the Year and the 2020-21 Region Offensive Player of the Year after helping lead Millennium High School to two 5A State championships. Guiney led the squad during her junior campaign in points per game 15.7 and had averages of 6.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals.
La Rocque: “Elli is one of the elite shooters on the west coast. Her size at the shooting guard position and versatile skill set will add to our high scoring offense. All she has done is win championships and has done so with the highest of character. We are so excited to add Elli to the Lady Rebel family.”
