UNLV junior wide receiver Ricky White has been named the Raising Cane’s Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Wednesday.

The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.

A Marietta, Georgia native, White helped guide the Rebels to a 45-27 win over in-state rival UNR. In the first half alone, he had six receptions for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He posted his second 100-yard game of the season, third as a Rebel and fourth in his FBS career with 174 yards against the Wolf Pack.

White caught a pass in every one of his eight targets on the day and five of those catches went for first downs vs. the Wolf Pack. With UNLV leading 21-7 in the second quarter, he also hauled in an 82-yard score from redshirt freshman Jayden Maiava that tied for the fourth-longest pass play in school history.
