OFF TO THE RACES: DERBY DAY CELEBRATION RETURNS TO LEGACY CLUB AT CIRCA RESORT & CASINO, MAY 3
Enjoy the Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports with a Spritz & Mint Julep Bar, Hat Contest, Derby-Inspired Bites and Stunning City Views from 60 Floors High
And they’re off! In celebration of horse racing’s biggest day of the year, Legacy Club at Circa Resort & Casino’s Derby Day event will return on Saturday, May 3 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Located on Circa’s 60th floor in downtown Las Vegas, guests are invited to dress in classic Derby attire as they sip Mint Juleps and cheer on their favorite jockeys. Guests who want to flaunt a show-stopping hat can enter the Derby Hat contest for the chance to win big. The moment the gates open, guests will have full audio and a front-row seat for the most exciting two minutes in sports.
The day’s festivities will include:
- Open Spritz & Mint Julep Bar: Guests can try one of Kentucky’s iconic cocktails at the Spritz & Mint Julep open bar. The Mint Julep is best known for being the signature drink of the Derby and this time-honored traditional cocktail is composed of bourbon, sugar, fresh mint and ice. The spritz offered will be a Hugo Spritz poured up with St. Germaine elderflower liqueur, mint, prosecco and soda water. Guests also can sample Derby-inspired bites throughout the afternoon and a cash bar will be available for additional beer, wine and spirits.
- Derby Hat Contest: Embrace tradition and don an over-the-top Derby hat for a chance to win a $300 Legacy Club credit. Special guest judges will determine “who wore it best” when it comes to extravagant headwear.
- Race Viewing: During the race, full live audio will ensure attendees do not miss a minute of excitement. High-definition TVs will be rolled into the venue for prime viewing with the Las Vegas Valley as a backdrop. Before and after the horses hit the track, live music will fill the venue with celebrated songs such as “My Old Kentucky Home,” “Run for the Roses” and more.

General admission tickets are $175 per person plus LET tax and can be purchased here. Each ticket includes access to Derby Day and the open bar. The event is open to guests 21+.
