Today, Friday, April 21, TRANSFIX—the world’s largest touring immersive art experience—officially opens to the public at Resorts World Las Vegas. Three years in the making, TRANSFIX presents over 50 interactive, kinetic, illuminated, and fire-breathing artworks by international artists across a 200,000 square-foot multi-level venue on four acres of land. Opening night kicked off with a crowd of eager visitors including exhibiting artists, VIPs, and leadership from the TRANSFIX team.

The experience will run through September 2023, opening hours Tuesday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to midnight and Friday through Sunday from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are available for purchase here. TRANSFIX is open to all ages from opening to 10 p.m., ages 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. From 10 p.m. until close all guests must be at least 21 years of age.

Designed to be an encounter unlike any other, participants from around the world are invited to embark on their own 90-120 minute journey through a two-acre labyrinth. Adding to the thrilling experience, guests are welcome to explore and enjoy 10 artist-designed bars and speakeasies, including Hand of Man, Control No Control, and Shrumen Lumen. WIth each location providing a unique environment, guests have the opportunity to indulge in a selection of exclusive signature cocktails, making for an exciting night out.

Artworks range from monolithic, shapeshifting kinetics, mesmerizing tunnels, and mind-melting video installations to large-scale fire-breathing sculptures, ocular and sonic landscapes, and hidden lounges and speakeasies. Participating artists include Christopher Bauder & KiNK , Marco Cochrane, Foldhaus Collective, Kate Raudenbush, Christopher Schardt, PLAYMODES, HOTTEA, Pablo González Vargas and many more

As an added extravagance in its first two weeks, TRANSFIX will present artist Duane Flatmo’s El Pulpo Magnifico — one of Burning Man’s most famous art cars. El Pulpo Magnifico is a giant mechanical fire-breathing octopus standing 25 feet tall. Like a massive demented wind-up toy, the cephalopod’s eyes pop in and out and its tentacles rise and fall as it blasts 30 feet flames into the sky. The structure has been solidified in pop-culture — it was depicted in an episode of The Simpsons and has become one of the most recognizable art cars today.

Throughout the six month run, TRANSFIX will collaborate with partnering organizations and present exclusive, exhilarating programming. On Friday, May 12, TRANSFIX will partner with ART WITH ME, known for their international festivals, to produce a revolutionary night of music and art called “DANCE WITH ME”. From sunset to sundown, DANCE WITH ME will allow party-goers to take in TRANSFIX with exclusive live performances spread across their 3 music stages and immersive art installations.

TRANSFIX aims to build future art experiences that foster a global creative economy, form a strong community, and support innovative art and artists of all backgrounds, while encouraging participation and inspiring personal creative discovery. TRANSFIX is co-founded by experiential entrepreneurs Michael Blatter and Tom Stinchfield.
