For more than a decade, New York-New York has rallied the local community raising millions of dollars for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy a fun-filled day on the hotel’s iconic Brooklyn Bridge with live music, celebrity guest head-shavers and more, as participants shed their locks to support St. Baldrick’s. The event is free and open to the public.

“With childhood cancer impacting a child every two minutes, we are incredibly proud to support the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and participants. We encourage everyone to join us in what will be a memorable day, most importantly raising funds for lifesaving children’s cancer research,” said Mike Neubecker, President & COO of New York-New York & MGM Grand. “Our team takes great pride in supporting the Las Vegas community and we encourage all to stop by to participate and enjoy the festivities.”

Participants interested in shaving their heads for the cause can register online here or on-site the day of the event. Group registration is also available for teams and organizations.

Throughout the day, friends, family and spectators can enjoy entertainment on the Brooklyn Bridge and commemorate the day with photos with the city’s most celebrated names in sports and entertainment who will be lending a hand as celebrity head shavers and emcees.

About St. Baldrick’s Foundation

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. St. Baldrick’s coordinates its signature head-shaving events worldwide where participants collect pledges to shave their heads in solidarity with kids with cancer, raising money to fund research. Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has awarded more than $127 million to support lifesaving research, making the Foundation the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. St. Baldrick’s funds are granted to some of the most brilliant childhood cancer research experts in the world and to younger professionals who will be the experts of tomorrow. Funds awarded also enable hundreds of local institutions to participate in national pediatric cancer clinical trials, and the new International Scholar grants train researchers to work in developing countries.
