NEW YEAR’S EVE SPECIALS AT THE SOUTH POINT HOTEL, CASINO & SPA

 

 

South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa will be ringing in 2022 in style, with multiple entertainment and dining experiences on Friday, Dec. 31. Each experience will include a champagne toast and balloon drop as the clock strikes midnight. Tickets can be purchased online at southpointcasino.com/entertainment. Guests must be 21 or older.

 

“We are so excited to welcome to 2022 with our South Point family. We have a great entertainment lineup and can’t wait to celebrate all the excitement a new year brings to our city and our community,” said Ryan Growney, general manager of South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa.

The iconic Frankie Moreno will be performing in the Grand Ballroom, alongside The Alley Cats. The show will include a four-course dinner, an open bar and party favors. Tickets are $149 per person. Doors open at 8 p.m.

 

The Spazmatics will be hosting a can’t-miss 80s New Year’s Eve dance party in the Exhibit Hall. Tickets are $75 and will include an open bar, party favors and hors d‘oeuvres. Doors open at 9 p.m.

 

Legendary Elvis tribute artist, Donny Edwards will be performing in The Showroom, doors open at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 and will include two free drinks and party favors.

 

The Alley Cats (Doo Wop Music) will be performing the New Year’s at Noon show in The Showroom. This is an all-age show and each ticket is $19. Tickets will include party favors, a champagne toast for guests 21 and over.

 

South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa will also be offering a variety of free entertainment on New Year’s Eve. Standup comedy show, The Dirty at 12:30 will bring the laughs to the Grandview Lounge beginning at 11:59 p.m. Wes Winters will also be performing in the Grandview Lounge from 5 – 7 p.m.  Attendees must be 21 or older for both shows.

 

Garden Buffet will serve a brunch from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $23.95 per person for Club members or $26.95 per person for nonmembers, including:

  • Bottomless Bloody Mary’s and mimosas
  • Eggs cooked to order, eggs benedict, lox and bagels, build your own omelet station, filet mignon and eggs, golden French toast and pancakes, cheese blintz’s, live action salad bar with freshly tossed salads, seasonal fruits and berries with yogurt, peel and eat shrimp, hot and sour Chinese soup, Louisiana gumbo, roast prime rib or beef, BBQ glazed pork loin, lemon and herb rotisserie chicken, veal fricassee, southern fried chicken, Chinese black pepper beef, seared salmon with Cajun cream, new year black eyed peas and collard greens
  • 12 flavor gelato and sorbet bar, macadamia white chocolate bread pudding, French pasties, doughnuts, cakes and pies
  • Also serving from six live international cooking stations

 

Garden Buffet will serve a seafood dinner from 4- 10 p.m. for $35.95 per person for Club members or $38.95 per person for nonmembers, including:

  • Unlimited champagne, beer, sangria, or wine
  • Chilled snow and Dungeness crab legs, oysters on the half shell, shrimp cocktail, peel and eat shrimp, sushi and California rolls, roast prime rib of Nebraska beef, salmon wellington, crown royal maple glazed pacific salmon, rosemary and thyme rotisserie chicken, surf and turf: tenderloin medallions and shrimp scampi, crepe suzette, Garden Fresh Action Salad Bar with the seasons finest tossed and house made salads, crab and corn bisque, Louisiana seafood gumbo, cioppino, shrimp alfredo, carne Asada, steamed clams and oysters, linguini and clams, chicken Angelo, golden fried shrimp, beef stroganoff, roast duck with grand Marnier sauce, pork cutlets with smoked tomato cream, lucky black eyed peas
  • 12 flavor gelato and sorbet bar, white chocolate and raspberry bread pudding, Scottish shortbread with whiskey cream, gateau’s & pastries, macadamia & white chocolate bread pudding

Silverado Steakhouse will serve a four-course meal from 4 – 11 p.m. for $69 per person, including:

  • Guests can choose between a bottle of Sierra Batuco Reserva 2020 Chardonnay or Sierra Batuco Reserva 2019 Pinot Noir from Maule Valley, Chile, the wines of the month for every two people.
  • First course:  Pork and figs, Portabella mushrooms filled with ground pork & boursin stuffed figs with port wine reduction or seafood celebrations, grilled shrimp on crostini, lump crab taco & lobster bisque or ratatouille au gratin, zucchini, squash and peppers simmered with tomatoes & glazed with parmesan cheese crust or chilled shrimp cocktail, with cocktail & Louise Rose sauceswsxz
  • Second course: Wild mushroom bisque en croute or chilled asparagus and calamari tomato salad with balsamic vinaigrette or pear with strawberries & spinach salad with warm balsamic and bacon vinaigrette and goat cheese crostini
  • Third course: Surf and turf, 6 oz. broiled filet of beef with two lightly breaded grilled shrimp, merlot demi, and lemon butter sauce or sea bass nouvelle, pan seared with lump crab, teardrop tomatoes, champagne cream sauce, topped with gold caviar or chicken wellington, free range chicken breast baked with spinach and mushrooms in a pastry crust on a madeira reduction or broiled filet mignon, 8 oz beef tenderloin with Bearnaise or blackened rib eye, 12 oz dry aged beef chipotle spiced and pan seared, served with BBQ and plum sauces, topped with sauteed mushrooms
  • Fourth Course: “Silverado favorite, sugar-dusted beignets with vanilla ice cream or almond cake, moist almond cake with orange cream filling and Frangelico whipped cream or fresh strawberries with Drambuie whipped cream in a brandy snap basket or “a walk in the black forest”, rich chocolate brownie, Bing cherries in cherry brandy and black cherry ice cream.

Don Vito’s will serve a three-course meal from 4-11 p.m. for $54 per person, including:

  • Guests can choose between a bottle of Sierra Batuco Reserva 2020 Chardonnay or Sierra Batuco Reserva 2019 Pinot Noir from Maule Valley, Chile, the wines of the month for every two people.
  • First course: Braised veal cannelloni, braised with Chianti, folded in pasta sheets and glazed with alfredo cream or Don’s chopped antipasto salad, on Romaine leaves, drizzled with golden balsamic vinaigrette or Mediterranean seafood pepper pot, shrimp, scallops, and calamari in a spiced cioppino broth with Leeks and diced peppers or burrata melon and prosciutto, creamy burrata, cantaloupe and prosciutto with a drizzle of olive oil and sea salt
  • Second course: Shrimp & lobster pescatora, shrimps and lobster medallions sauteed with garlic tomatoes and bell peppers folded in linguine with lightly spiced white wine broth or chicken cacciatore, free range chicken sauteed with mushrooms, tomatoes, fresh tarragon and red wine or tournedos of beef anna, sautéed with wild mushrooms, crowned with prosciutto and melted provolone cheese and a raspberry demi or broiled bone-in rib eye, 16 oz. aged rib chop with mushrooms and caramelized onions or veal Francoise with scampi Provencal, veal scaloppini with lemon beurre blanc with scampi sauteed with basil and fresh tomatoes.

Primarily Prime Rib will serve a three-course meal from 4- 10 p.m. for $45 per person, including:

  • Guests can choose between a bottle of Sierra Batuco Reserva 2020 Chardonnay or Sierra Batuco Reserva 2019 Pinot Noir from Maule Valley, Chile, the wines of the month for every two people.
  • First course: Lobster and crab duo, lobster bisque with Cajun crab cake or shrimp cocktail, horseradish cocktail sauce or smokehouse BBQ prime rib enchiladas, with tomatillo sour cream sauce and crisp onion strings or celebration salad, diced honeydew and cucumber with picked ginger folded in honey infused vinaigrette over romaine lettuce with chopped peanuts
  •  Second course: Prime roast rib of beef, 10 oz cut, dry aged and slowly cooked for full flavor or chicken wellington, chicken breast with mushrooms and spinach baked in pastry crust, madeira demi glaze or surf and turf, 4 oz medallion of beef with cabernet reduction and 4 oz pan seared fillet of halibut with chive butter or broiled New York steak, 12 oz steak with sauteed mushroom caps and garlic butter or tempura shrimp and Asian grilled salmon, two golden fried shrimp and sake marinated grilled salmon with wasabi cream dipping sauce served with Chinese broccoli and jasmine rice.  All entrees are served with a choice of chateau, Yukon gold creamed potatoes, or baked potato and green beans.
  • Third course: Chocolate whiskey cake, with crème anglaise and sliced strawberries or rum baba, yeast cake marinated in rum infused syrup with whipped cream and berries, or dessert tacos, white and dark chocolate mousse with fresh raspberries.
