NEVADA CHILD SEEKERS IS HOSTING A VIRTUAL YOUTH FEST AND 5K TO RAISE FUNDS TO CONTINUE THEIR MISSION TO FIND MISSING CHILDREN.
CALLING ALL RUNNERS, JOGGERS, AND WALKERS THE RACE IS ON TO FIND MISSING CHILDREN
Get your steps in! Nevada Child Seekers is calling all runners, joggers, and walkers for their virtual Youth Fest and 5k; anyone can sign up from now until October 24 to complete the race for the chance to win prizes. Proceeds raised help families find missing children in the valley. On October 24, families can also gather around for the virtual youth fest portion of the fundraiser featuring young performers, including dancers, singers, and much more.
Nevada Child Seekers is the number one nonprofit organization in Las Vegas with a database of volunteers who willingly go out to post flyers and form search parties to help find missing children. Their partnership with law enforcement has helped bring hundreds of thousands of children back home safely and reconnect with their families. The organization also offers assistance for the missing child and their loved ones after being found to help with prevention and counseling.
The Youth Fest and 5K are more than a fundraiser; it celebrates youth empowerment and highlights children and young adults by providing a space for their talents and gifts to be seen. This year, all the performances will be live on the Nevada Child Seekers social media and website; those enjoying the show can donate towards the mission. Those Runners, joggers, and walkers can participate in the 5k portion of the event by 8 p.m. on October 24.
“Everyone was so kind and helpful. Without your flyers, my daughter might still be gone or dead. She needs a lot of medical help now, but she is alive.” -Laura R. (mother of the 15-year-old missing child)
“This agency knows the value of collaboration and works tirelessly with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, local law enforcement agencies, the Nevada Amber Alert committee, and the local F.B.I. Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to assist with the safe return of our missing children.” -Sheriff Joseph Lombardo, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept.
The Youth Fest and 5k are set for October 24. The virtual 5K is active from now until October 24 at 8 p.m. to register, visit www.nevadachildseekers.org.
