Morton Group Announces Reopening of Las Vegas Restaurants

  Jenna and Michael Morton of Morton Group have announced the reopening of three of their restaurants on Thursday, June 4, including La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway at Wynn Las Vegas, CRUSH American Grill at MGM Grand and La Comida in Downtown Las Vegas.

 

La Cave will open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch; CRUSH will open for happy hour and dinner; La Comida will open for lunch and dinner; and all three restaurants will be open for private events,  including bookings for weddings, rehearsal dinners and receptions.

 

La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway

With views of the picturesque Wynn pool and gardens from the open-air garden lounge and terrace, La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway will be open daily from 11:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. Executive Chef William DeMarco will prepare a menu of seasonally-inspired dishes including crab ravioli, accompanied by arugula and lemon butter; braised short rib tacos with avocado crema and pico de gallo; wild salmon, complemented by corn purée and balsamic mushrooms; and beef filet crostini, topped with blue cheese fondue and truffle cream. La Cave’s popular butler-style brunch will also be available from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring a rotating selection of delicious dishes such as Snickers pancakes, veal short rib hash and filet mignon eggs Benedict.

CRUSH American Grill

Located at the center of MGM Grand, CRUSH American Grill will be open from 5 to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, serving its menu of contemporary cuisine. Signature dishes include the 8-ounce filet mignon, served with fingerling potatoes and sweet onions, topped with blue cheese fondue; shrimp risotto with roasted tomatoes and basil; chicken parmesan with fresh burrata cheese and basil; and Togarashi sea bass, served with braised kale and tomato chutney. Happy hour, available from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, will feature a rotating selection of $10 woodfired pizzas, $5 beer and $5 wines by the glass.

La Comida

Downtown Las Vegas’ vibrant eatery, La Comida, will celebrate its reopening with a belated Cinco de Mayo celebration and $5 house margaritas from Thursday, June 4 through Sunday, June 7. La Comida will be open from noon to 9 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, with extended patio seating for open-air dining. Prepared by Executive Chef Mario Garcia, La Comida’s signature dishes will also be available, including the chile relleno, featuring a battered, stuffed poblano pepper, queso fresco, ranchera sauce, cilantro and jalapeno cream; the sizzling chicken or steak fajitas served with fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, corn, bell peppers and onions; and a lineup of the restaurant’s refreshing margaritas, with 15 different flavors to choose from.
