MIRACLE MILE SHOPS TO PARTNER WITH COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF NEVADA FOR 2025 CARING, GIVING, CHANGING CAMPAIGN
The coin collection fundraiser will support Communities In Schools of Nevada through December 2025

Miracle Mile Shops, located next to Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, has teamed up with Communities In Schools of Nevada for the 2025 Caring, Giving, Changing campaign. All coins tossed into the Rain Show throughout the year by Miracle Mile Shops’ customers will be gathered and donated to Communities In Schools of Nevada. The ongoing contributions and incredible generosity of Miracle Mile Shops shoppers will help further the organization’s mission to empower students to stay in school and thrive, demonstrating the profound impact that the community’s kindness can have on the lives of local students.

Communities In Schools of Nevada works to remove barriers to education by providing vital resources such as mentoring, school supplies, after-school programs, and basic needs to students in need of additional support across the state. Their goal is to empower students to reach their full potential, regardless of the challenges they face.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Communities In Schools of Nevada as this year’s Caring, Giving, Changing partner,” said Robert Buchanan, Vice President and General Manager of Miracle Mile Shops. “Their impactful work in our community is invaluable, and we are confident our guests will be eager to support such a meaningful cause.

“We are incredibly grateful to Miracle Mile Shops’ Caring, Giving, Changing campaign for its generous philanthropic support of CIS and the nearly 100,000 students we serve across Nevada,” said Tami Hance-Lehr, CEO and state director of Communities In Schools of Nevada. “Thanks to partners like Miracle Mile Shops that recognize the transformative power of community investment, CIS can better create pathways to success for our students, connecting them with caring adults and life-changing resources to help them thrive in school and beyond.”

Since 2010, Miracle Mile Shops’ Caring, Giving, Changing campaign has raised more than $117,000 for nonprofit organizations through community sponsorships, partnerships, and a variety of cash and in-kind donations. This impressive achievement is made possible by the kindness and encouragement of Miracle Mile Shops customers. With previous partners including The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, Help of Southern Nevada, Discovery Children’s Museum, and St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Miracle Mile Shops has been dedicated to making a positive impact on the Las Vegas community for over 15 years, thanks to the kindness and involvement of its loyal patrons.

Visitors and locals can participate in this charity campaign while enjoying the Rain Show’s stunning light and water display. The show runs from 10:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m., every hour on the half hour.

About Communities In Schools of Nevada

CIS places full-time and professionally trained site coordinators in 118 Title I and high-needs schools across Nevada to support more than 100,000 students in grades K-12 who face barriers to their success—increasing the likelihood of students staying in school and graduating on time. The organization taps into a statewide network of more than 120 community nonprofits, partners, and agencies, bringing the community into the school to get students whatever they need to overcome the barriers they face that prevent them from achieving academically. From eyeglasses, dental care, health care, transportation, and professional counseling to food, school supplies, clothing, and housing, CIS identifies student needs and finds a way to address them, closing the gaps they experience in their everyday lives. CIS’s long-term vision is for every child enrolled in a Title I or high-needs school to access a CIS site coordinator and their evidence-based model of integrated student support, otherwise known as wraparound services. The graduation rate for CIS case-managed high school seniors in Nevada for the 2023-2024 school year was 97 percent.
