This July, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will collect donations in its fountain for Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Greater Las Vegas as part of the nonprofit’s “Join Us For 1” fundraising campaign.

For one day only, on Friday, July 1, participating McDonald’s® restaurants and various fountains around the country will collect coins in support of RMHC’s “Join Us For 1” campaign. Miracle Mile Shops will extend this campaign locally by collecting change in the fountain throughout the entire month of July as part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign.

In addition, Miracle Mile Shops’ fountain will display a red glow in between regularly scheduled shows throughout July in support of RMHC® of Greater Las Vegas. Every coin tossed in the popular water feature as well as the indoor rainstorm will benefit the nonprofit to help and support programs that directly improve health, education and well-being of children in the community.

“Join Us For 1” highlights the nonprofit’s history, which started with one child, one family, one doctor and one community coming together to form the first Ronald McDonald House®. The campaign reminds supporters that just one person, one penny, one catalyst can spark a big change in the lives of the children and families RMHC® serves.

The partnership between Miracle Mile Shops and Ronald McDonald House Charities is part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing campaign, celebrating a year of change in 2012. In addition to the monthly fountain fundraisers, the Caring, Giving, Changing campaign also raises funds for other programs and organizations through community sponsorships, additional partnerships and a number of cash and in-kind donations. In previous months the center has teamed up with the Aid For AIDS of Nevada (June), Communities In Schools of Nevada (May), Autism Speaks (April), National Multiple Sclerosis Society (March), American Heart Association (February) and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (January). In 2011, Miracle Mile Shops raised a total of $100,000 for numerous local and national non-profit organizations and aims to surpass that number in 2012.
