MINUS5º ICEBAR UNVEILS NEW ICE DISPLAYS AT MANDALAY BAY RESORT AND CASINO

New Themes Include Old Man Winter, Arctic Animals, Scuba Diver, Jellyfish

WHAT:
Minus5º ICEBAR at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino unveils a stunning new collection of ice sculptures, transforming the lounge into a frozen winter wonderland. Among the latest additions, a frosty old man winter display looms, while intricately carved arctic animals, including wolves, a polar bear and a walrus, bring the icy landscape to life. A deep-sea twist adds to the spectacle, with a scuba diver mask appearing in an underwater adventure alongside glowing jellyfish.

The new displays were created by award-winning master ice carvers Dan “Hollywood” Rebholz and Austin Greenleaf. The ice sculptures are constructed from 250-pound blocks of ice that require a specialized crew and precision tools to hoist them into place. Prior to arriving in Las Vegas, the ice was created by utilizing a special process that removes all air bubbles, resulting in the clearest ice possible.

The new construction represents part of Minus5º ICEBAR’s quarterly Staying COOL re-theming program to keep the experience fresh for guests.
