Stand-up comedian, actor and producer Mike Epps brings his unparalleled humor to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday July 12 at 10 a.m.
Epps has been a comedy mainstay since breaking onto the scene in 1995. Epps was first recognized by a national audience after appearing on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” He is best known for starring roles in hit films and TV shows such as “The Hangover” franchise, the “Resident Evil” franchise, “Survivor’s Remorse,” “Open Season 2,” “Hancock,” “Lottery Ticket,” “Dr. Dolittle 2,” “Death Wish” and many more. Epps has steadily climbed the stand-up comedy ranks and his specials can be found on Netflix and Showtime.
In 2016, Epps won “Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards for his work on the critically acclaimed STARZ series “Survivor’s Remorse.” He won the award for his portrayal of Uncle Julius. The series was produced by NBA superstar LeBron James.
Last year, Epps took on the challenging new role as author after releasing his memoir, “Unsuccessful Thug”. The memoir follows Epps’ early life in Indiana to his rise to stardom in Hollywood. Mike recently wrapped Amazon feature, “Troup Zero,” starring Viola Davis, Allison Janney and Jim Gaffigan. He is currently shooting “Dolemite Is My Name,” a Netflix comedy starring opposite Eddie Murphy.
Epps has recently entered the tech space with the first interactive game “button” made by Amazon for the Alexa device called. “Sounds Fun with Mike Epps” features Mike making hilarious sound effects with his voice.
