SIGNS LEASE AT DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN®
First-of-its-Kind New Fitness Facility Will Combine Luxury with Serious Fitness
Howard Hughes Holdings Inc., developer of the Summerlin® master planned community and its 400-acre urban core of Downtown Summerlin®, today announced a new lease for Mark Wahlberg’s MUNICIPAL GYM® powered by EoS Fitness at Downtown Summerlin®.
The 32,064-square-foot facility is located on Summa Drive along the southwestern edge of Downtown Summerlin in the former Bed Bath & Beyond space. This will be the first location for MUNICPAL GYM and is expected to open by 2026.
Initially announced by acclaimed actor, restaurateur, businessman, and Summerlin resident Mark Wahlberg, via social media, MUNICIPAL GYM will feature fitness and recovery areas, as well as a juice bar, café, retail and apparel, vitamins and supplements. According to Wahlberg, MUNICIPAL GYM is where luxury and serious fitness meet.
MUNICIPAL GYM, powered by EoS Fitness, will take the gym industry by storm, delivering a new category of gyms that will excite fitness enthusiasts who want to train like an athlete and unlock their potential, according to MUNICIPAL GYM Co-Chairman, President and CEO Manzo Hodge.

Hodge said MUNICIPAL GYM will offer an immersive health experience with equipment on the leading edge of innovation, combined with amenities such as a recovery center featuring cryotherapy, compression therapy, infrared saunas, eucalyptus steam rooms, cold plunges, red light therapy, eucalyptus cooling towels, and premium workout towels. It will also include a café, offering delicious and nutritious options to enhance recovery and fuel performance, as well as supplementation to optimize body performance.

Earlier this year, LEGO opened a 5,679-square-foot store at Downtown Summerlin; Chanel Beauty and Fragrance is under construction; Whole Foods Market and Starbucks are under construction on the southeast corner of Downtown Summerlin, slated to open in 2025.
