Mae Daly’s Fine Steaks and Whiskey debuts with its Grand Opening Celebration to benefit the Las Vegas Autism Community

New restaurant launches alongside a vocational work program for autism adults interested in restaurant industry

Mae Daly’s Fine Steaks and Whiskey, the newest establishment by veteran restaurateur Richard Femenella, is set to open in style. This restaurant will also be hosting a new vocational program for adults with autism that are interested in working in the restaurant industry. On Friday, July 12, the restaurant opens with an evening of food, wine, and great entertainment benefiting Autism Community Trust, and related charities.

The legend of Mae Daly, the inspiration behind the Strip’s newest steakhouse, opened her saloon during the mob and prohibition era back in 1928 to become one of the finest dining establishments in Las Vegas. Mae Daly’s Saloon was renowned for its friendly service, great steaks, whiskeys, good times, and also for its inclusiveness. The new Mae Daly’s Steakhouse aims to emulate that very experience.

To kick things off, Mae Daly’s official grand opening celebration will be an evening of revelry and giving back, benefiting Autism Community Trust (ACT), a nonprofit organization founded by Femenella and Autism advocate Julie Ostrovsky, on a basis that all funds raised are in turn donated back to other service-oriented nonprofits in the community supporting those with autism. Both Femenella and Ostrovosky are passionate about helping those with autism as both have sons effected by autism and aim to further support the nonprofits that aid all effected families.

Families for Effective Autism Treatment of Southern Nevada will also be a beneficiary of the event. The work program will be supported by Andrew Devitt’s Sport Social for those autism adults aged 18 and older and individualized to focus on each person’s strengths. It will also feature competitive wages for the participants.

“Mae Daly’s will be a restaurant for the local Las Vegas community. Our company’s mission statement, culture, and philosophies are focused around one word, kindness,” said Richard Femenella, proprietor of Mae Daly’s. “My entire career, I have followed my belief that a business needs to give back to the community it prospers from. I will ensure that Mae Daly’s becomes a socially responsible establishment and one of the finest steakhouses in the great city of Las Vegas.”

Mae Daly’s Grand Opening Celebration will feature an evening of incredible live entertainment by Ronnie Rose, Mark Giovi and Carol Garcia Devine. Amazing wine and cocktails will be accompanied by a tasting of its new menu by Executive Chef Tomas Espino that will make for an experience to remember.

The restaurant will serve five styles of beef: American Wagyu, Certified Japanese Kobe A5 Wagyu, 100-percent grass fed beef, both wet and 28 day dry aged beef. All steaks are100% Prime.

The celebration will be held on Friday, July 12 at Mae Daly’s, located at 2211 South Las Vegas Blvd., just north of Sahara Avenue, from 7-11 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $150 per person and all proceeds will go directly to the nonprofits.
