Naturally 7
Saturday, Dec. 15, 8 p.m.
Naturally 7 has made a name for themselves touring with Michael Bublé and releasing their seventh studio album, “Both Sides Now,” featuring a variety of popular covers such as Sting’s “Shape Of My Heart” and Adele’s “Hello.” The group got their start in 1999 in New York City when Roger Thomas, Warren Thomas, Rod Eldridge, Ricky Cort, Dwight Stewart, Garfield Buckley and “Kelz” Mitchell came together for an a cappella competition they eventually won. Riding the wave of their newfound success, the group was determined to set themselves apart from other a cappella acts, so they created their own genre known as “vocal play.” While a cappella is defined as singing without instruments, Naturally 7 is able to create the same instrumental sounds using only their voices. Since then, the group has toured the world as a special guest of Michael Bublé, recorded alongside Coldplay and Ludacris and received standing ovations following performances at the prestigious TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conference and BET Honors. Tickets start at $15.
