Lyft Partners with the Friends of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation for Safe Rides During EDC

As hundreds of thousands of people prepare for Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) June 16-18 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Lyft Las Vegas and the Friends of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation are urging partygoers to ride safe. The first 2,000 new and existing users can use code ‘RIDEEDC’ for 50% off two rides, up to $8 off per ride to and from the Speedway.

“We want everyone to have a great time at EDC and there is no excuse for impaired driving, especially when there are safe alternatives,” said Tom Kovach, executive director for the Friends of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation. “We are so pleased to partner with Lyft Las Vegas in their continuing efforts to keep our community safe this EDC weekend.”

“EDC is a truly epic weekend, but can be stressful with driving there, finding a place to park, and then getting home after a long night of dancing and music,” said Yacob Girma, Lyft Las Vegas general manager. “Lyft offers multiple tools to ensure a hassle-free night – you can schedule your ride ahead of time, grab all of your friends and split a Lyft Plus, or take Lyft Premier for a truly VIP experience!”
