LVMPD Fusion Watch Honored as 2022 Hidden Heroes
WHAT: The Fifth Annual Hidden Heroes Gala, hosted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation and The Gratitude Project celebrates and recognizes LVMPD Hidden Heroes who work to keep us safe every day. These Hidden Heroes might not wear a badge, but they are committed to their community.
The 2022 Hidden Heroes are the men and women of the LVMPD Fusion Watch, a 24/7 real-time crime center and virtual crime-fighting unit responsible for the development and deployment of advanced technologies to prevent crime and terrorism in real-time across the Las Vegas Valley, and beyond.
Fusion Watch is responsible for proactive police work and patrol overwatch via its network of 600+ public safety cameras, gunshot detection systems, drone monitoring and enforcement, tactical workups, intelligence gathering, and much more.
According to Tom Kovach, executive director, LVMPD Foundation, the Hidden Heroes Gala initiative launched in 2018 and benefits the LVMPD Foundation by raising important funds for LVMPD programs and initiatives that help to keep our community safe.
The LVMPD Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support and supplement Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department programs and initiatives. The Gratitude Project, a nonprofit organization, supports law enforcement, first responders, military, veterans, and K-9 units.
