LVMPD FOUNDATION GOOD TICKET PROGRAM RECOGNIZES
OFFICERS REBECCA MAUGA AND MARIZELA RAZO
WHAT: The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation’s 2022 Good Ticket program recognizes Officer Rebecca Mauga and Officer Marizela Razo for their mentorship of female students in CCSD schools. Razo and Mauga were nominated for their leadership and coaching to build confidence in the students, encourage them to stand up and speak out about things that are important to them, and how to give back to their community.
In 2019, the Good Ticket program was established in collaboration with Sydney Ramenofsky, a former member of Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada, who, proposed LVMPD police engage with the public using a positive message. The Good Ticket program is a way for the public to recognize and support LVMPD officers who, day-in and day-out, work hard to keep our community safe.
The 2022 Good Ticket program is sponsored by Resorts World Las Vegas, donating staycations to the recipients that include accommodations and dining experiences, as well as hosting the monthly award ceremonies. To date, nine officers have been recognized with the Good Ticket for their constructive actions.
“The Good Ticket is a way for Southern Nevada residents to show their support for LVMPD officers and demonstrate the positive partnership that exists between the public and Metro,” said Tom Kovach, Executive Director, LVMPD Foundation. “We are appreciative of Resorts World Las Vegas’s sponsorship of this program that encourages community support for law enforcement.”
The Good Ticket program is part of a larger effort to encourage support from the community for LVMPD. It is a program of the LVMPD Foundation which raises funds to support and supplement LVMPD programs and initiatives including officer training, updated equipment, and positive community engagement activities.
