UNLV baseball’s Reese Lueck was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday. The Rebels are coming off a 2-1 series victory over New Mexico over the weekend.

The Las Vegas native secured his first career save in Sunday’s 8-3 win after allowing only two hits with two strikeouts in 2.1 innings of relief, his longest outing this season. The true freshman also turned in 1.1 innings of perfect relief against the Lobos on Friday.

The right-hander was also named MW Freshman of the Week earlier this season following UNLV’s opening sweep of Pacific.

UP NEXT: UNLV will return to the Golden State for a three-game Mountain West series against Fresno State scheduled to begin Friday, May 12 at 6:05 p.m.

BACK AT THE EARL: The Hustlin’ Rebels will close out the regular season at Earl E. Wilson Stadium with a three-game Mountain West series against Air Force slated to begin Thursday, May 18 at 6:05 p.m.

Single-game ticket prices this season are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $5 to groups of 15 or more. Fans that purchase tickets online before game day can get them for an advanced single-game price of $6.

All high school, middle school and elementary students are free under UNLV’s new admission policy. To receive free admission, high school students must present valid Nevada are school I.D. at the box office on gameday for one (1) complimentary ticket. Current UNLV students will receive free admission with a valid school I.D. All other students will receive a complimentary ticket at the box office (no I.D. required). Kids not yet elementary school age will continue to receive free admission for all UNLV Olympic sports.
