Light up the Holiday Season on November 30 at
Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
WHAT: Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens will unveil its winter display and kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 30 as 13,500 white LED lights illuminate a 45-foot Shasta Fir decorated with more than 2,500 ornaments.
Rich in nostalgia and tradition, the Conservatory will transform into a magical winter wonderland featuring oversized toy soldiers, a floral holiday card and an ensemble of faux baby penguins frolicking around an ice pond. A playful family trio of topiary polar bears will be adorned with “fur” coats made of more than 35,000 hand-applied white carnations as the baby bear floats on a frozen pond. Another first for the display, a gingerbread village will be specially created by Bellagio’s renowned pastry team as motorized trains whirl throughout the meticulously crafted villages.
Blending the beautiful holiday sights with delightful seasonal sounds, harpists will fill the Conservatory nightly from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. New to the exhibit this year, carolers will stroll the Conservatory performing holiday classics from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the week leading up to December 25.
On view from November 30 through January 5, the holiday exhibit within the Conservatory is complimentary and open to the public seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
