LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL ANNOUNCES 16 LAS VEGAS ACTS COMPETING FOR A SPOT ON THE FESTIVAL’S 2023 LINEUP 

Rising Stars Competition to take place at The Space throughout August; Fans invited to enjoy local music and nightly giveaways

 Life is Beautiful has announced the 16 Las Vegas acts chosen for its Rising Stars Competition hosted at The Space on August 4-5 and 11-12. Hand-picked from more than 180 submissions, the competition promises a multi-genre showcase of the city’s thriving musical scene. One winning performance will land a spot on the 2023 lineup alongside The Killers, Kendrick Lamar, Odesza, The 1975, FLUME, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Kim Petras, and many more.

After the semi-finals, a group of esteemed judges will select four performers or bands to advance to the final round, hosted on August 18. From those performances, one winner will be chosen and added to the festival’s music schedule. Details about specific performance days and times will be announced closer to the live competition.

“This was the most submissions we’ve received in the history of Life is Beautiful for any of the local music competitions we’ve done,” said Craig Nyman, Director of Music, Programming & Development at Life is Beautiful. “Las Vegas is full of talented artists dedicated to their craft. We look forward to seeing the 16 Rising Stars selected take the stage at The Space, and can’t wait to highlight even more local musicians in the future.”

 

Life is Beautiful introduced the festival’s Rising Stars program in 2021 with the goal of showcasing emerging musicians and providing a platform to be discovered. The 2023 program is partnering with local entertainer, philanthropist, and founder of The Space, Mark Shunock, to celebrate and support local creators by giving them the opportunity to perform at a venue that specializes in helping homegrown artists thrive.
