LAX Nightclub is closing out an epic 2016 with four consecutive nights of celebration. Luxor Hotel and Casino’s nightlife hotspot will welcome to the stage end-of-year headliners Chingy, Ginuwine, Ying Yang Twins and Warren G, among others. Chingy will take the stage Thursday, Dec. 29, headlining the club’s popular Throwback Thursday series. Ginuwine, Ying Yang Twins and Warren G will help guests kiss 2016 goodbye and usher in the New Year Saturday, Dec. 31. In anticipation of Las Vegas’ influx of New Year’s revelers, LAX Nightclub will be open an additional night, Wednesday, Dec. 28, when guests can enjoy beats from DJ Cass and Aybsent Mynded.
“LAX has had an incredible year led by our Throwback Thursday series, which delivered audiences a tremendous lineup from Vanilla Ice and Salt-N-Pepa to Mystikal and Kid ‘n Play,” said Executive Director of Brand Activation for Luxor Anthony Olheiser. “To celebrate 2016 and usher in 2017, we’ve decided to offer guests four nights of top-notch programming culminating in a sensational New Year’s Eve bash. This year’s programming allowed LAX to become the city’s top Thursday night destination and we look forward to its continued success in 2017.”
Chingy became a household name in 2003 with the release of the single “Right Thurr” and his chart-topping debut album “Jackpot.” The Dirty South-influenced artist from St. Louis went on to release infectious hits including “One Call Away,” “Holidae Inn,” and “Balla Baby.” While pursuing a career in film and on television, the platinum-selling artist recorded the popular albums “Powerballin’,” “Hoodstar,” and “Hate It or Love It.”
Ginuwine landed at the top of the Billboard US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with the release of his iconic single, “Pony.” Among other top hits are “So Anxious,” “Same Ol’ G,” and “Differences.” The sensual crooner has collaborated with other industry-leading artists including Nas, Missy Elliot, R Kelly, Snoop Dogg, and Method Man. Ginuwine reunited with Timbaland this year to work on a new album slated for release in 2017.
Dirty South hip hop duo Ying Yang Twins skyrocketed up the charts in 2000 with the release of the popular single “Whistle While You Twurk.” They released their debut album, “Thug Walkin’,” later that year. Other popular hits include “Wait (The Whisper Song),” “Badd,” and “Shake.” The pair also collaborated with Britney Spears on her “In The Zone” song “I Got That (Boom Boom).”
Warren G became a Southern California rap icon with the release of his debut album, “Regulate…G Funk Era” and its eponymous lead single, “Regulate.” The song was included on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop and on Pitchfork Media’s Top 200 Tracks of the ’90s. Warren G went on to release several albums throughout the decade including “Take a Look Over Your Shoulder,” “I Want It All,” and “The Return of the Regulator.”
