LAS VEGAS HOSTS FREE WEDDINGS FOR VETERANS, MILITARY MEMBERS IN HONOR OF VETERANS DAY

Giant Act of Love, Appreciation Provided Free
Wedding Ceremonies, Reception to Deserving Military Personnel

In honor of Veterans Day, the Vegas Wedding Chamber hosted “Vegas Marries the Military,” on Thursday, Nov. 7, providing free weddings and vow renewals to deserving U.S. military personnel and veterans. The annual event takes place in Las Vegas, the Wedding Capital of the World™, to symbolize the convergence of love and duty and is the wedding industry’s way of thanking these heroes with a wedding of a lifetime they otherwise couldn’t afford.

After submitting their photos, love stories and details of their service, six couples were carefully selected by the Vegas Wedding Chamber to represent various branches of the armed forces. Damien and Rose (Air Force) made their union official with a wedding ceremony. Couples celebrating their partnership and renewing their vows in Las Vegas included Gabriel and Rosslyn (Air Force), Marcus and Cassandra (Marine Corps), Glen and Veronica (Air Force), Carl and Beverly (Army) and Mark and Tina (Air Force).

These couples, along with their closest family and friends, received wedding or vow renewal ceremonies at six different wedding venues in Clark County before coming together for a joyous evening at Anthem Country Club, complete with a buffet dinner, wedding cake, DJ, photographer, videographer, countless photo activations and fun activities. The reception will also feature special tributes from notable Nevadans such as Lynn Marie Goya, Clark County Clerk; Jeff Stone, Nevada State Senator for District 20; and Shana Simons, Henderson public affairs senior engagement officer and veterans liaison.

More than 50 Las Vegas wedding vendors and venues are donating their time, products and services to make this initiative a success.
