Las Vegas Musical Version of Les Misérables to Raise Money for UNLV Performing Arts Center and Golden Rainbow

LAS VEGAS MUSICAL VERSION OF ICONIC LES MISÈRABLES 
TO RAISE MONEY FOR UNLV PERFORMING ARTS CENTER 
AND  GOLDEN RAINBOW
Four shows will feature variety of Las Vegas Talent 

 

 Les Misérables, the musical adaption Victor Hugo’s famous tale of Jean Valjean breaking parole during France’s June Rebellion, will take stage February 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7 p.m. at UNLV’s Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. The performance is a fundraiser for UNLV’s Performing Arts Center and School of the Arts in addition to Golden Rainbow, a nonprofit organization that provides housing and financial assistance to those with HIV and AIDS living in Southern Nevada. The musical event of Les Misérables will be lead by musical director Bill Fayne, a popular figure in Las Vegas music who has worked in the past with Barbara Streisand and Clint Holmes. Andrew Wright, head of Ragtag Entertainment, will produce the show. He and Fayne have collaborated for productions including Company, which won them a Best of Las Vegas Award, and Putting It Together at The Smith Center among others.

 

“There is passion on so many levels,” said Wright. “This is a winning combination of direction and performance to help causes dear to our hearts.”

 

The production of Les Misérables features diverse performers from local Strip shows, Broadway, opera and the general community.  Featured performers include:
