Las Vegas Coalition for Zero Fatalities Provides Responsible Rides and Discounts for Fourth of July in Summerlin Area
Lyft pledges up to $20,000 in free ride credit
The Las Vegas Coalition for Zero Fatalities wants patriotic passengers to celebrate Fourth of July responsibly by providing up to $20,000 in free Lyft ride credits. New and existing users can plan ahead and request a designated driver on demand in the Summerlin area with code ‘SUMMERLINRIDE’ for $5 off of two rides from Tuesday, July 3 through Thursday, July 5.

Catch a Lyft and celebrate America’s birthday with activities all day long, including:
- The 24th annual Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade on Hillpoint Road and Hills Center Drive in the Trails Village of Summerlin at 9 a.m.
- A special performance from the Las Vegas Philharmonic at the Star Spangled Spectacular at TPC Summerlin at 5 p.m.
- Fireworks presented by Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa on The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin® at 9 p.m.

Launched in 2018, the Las Vegas Coalition for Zero Fatalities’ year-long campaign is dedicated to eliminating DUI related fatalities by increasing the visibility and accessibility of safe ride alternatives. Compromised of community leaders, members include City of Las Vegas, Downtown Project, Downtown Summerlin, Entercom Communications, Fremont Street Experience , Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Las Vegas Monorail, Nevada Highway Patrol, PT’s Entertainment Group, Topgolf Las Vegas, and Zero Fatalities. The inaugural initiative on New Year’s Eve weekend led to a 15 percent decline in DUI arrests year-over-year, the first decrease reported in five years.
