Las Vegas Athletic Clubs To Open
85,000-square-Foot FItness Center At Union Village
Union Village begins raising funds to construct skilled nursing facility,
acute care hospital and retirement community
Las Vegas Athletic Clubs (LVAC) has signed an agreement with Union Village, LLC to construct an 85,000-square-foot athletic, fitness and family-orientated exercise facility on 10-acres of land within the healthcare complex.
Once completed, the athletic club’s amenities will include an indoor running track, indoor pool, women’s only training area, spa, steam and sauna, cardio entertainment center, group fitness classes, kid’s playroom, juice bar, racquetball courts, personal training and more. The club will be integrated into Union Village’s main promenade, easily connecting it to all other aspects of the project. LVAC expects to begin construction by the end of 2015.
“Our location in Union Village will bring all of the great facilities and amenities we have in our existing locations. Residents of Henderson, Lake Las Vegas and adjoining areas will greatly appreciate the best possible value in fitness anywhere in the world,” remarked Chad Smith, executive vice president at Las Vegas Athletic Clubs.
Elsewhere within the 170-acre project, Union Village has retained Mission Capital Advisors, LLC as exclusive capital advisors to raise a total of $95 million in construction financing and joint venture equity for the development of a 125-bed skilled nursing facility, 40-bed long-term acute care hospital and 360-unit continuing care retirement community.
Called Union Village, the visionary model for health care will offer a world-class hospital complex and health center, residential, entertainment and specialty retail space, a vibrant senior retirement community and a civic and cultural arts center integrated into a master-planned community. Construction on the $1.2 billion project began in October 2014 when The Valley Health System broke ground on a brand new 142-bed acute care hospital called Henderson Hospital, its sixth facility in Southern Nevada.
