The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will open a brief four-game homestand on Tuesday, June 13 against the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, at Cashman Field. All four games of the series from Tuesday-Friday, June 13-16 will begin at 7:05 p.m.
The 51s, under first-year manager Pedro Lopez, are currently on a season-long 11-game road trip that will conclude in the Pacific Northwest against the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, on Sunday, June 11. The next scheduled off day for the PCL is Monday, June 12.
Las Vegas is playing 20 out of a scheduled 28 games on the road in the month of June.
2017 CASHMAN FIELD ATTENDANCE: In 28 dates, Las Vegas’ total is 160,632 for an average of 5,737. Las Vegas has recorded three sellouts: 9,872 for Star Wars Night/Fireworks on April 28 vs. Albuquerque; season-high crowd of 10,342 for the Smokers Strike Out 14th Annual School Day Game on May 3 vs. Tacoma; 9,559 for the Fireworks/Nevada Donor Network Donate Life Night on May 5 vs. Tacoma. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 plateau in “home” attendance in all 34 seasons (1983-2016). The all-time attendance total now stands at 11,470,360. The 51s organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada.
Budweiser Dollar Beer Night will be presented in game three of the series on Thursday, June 15. Dollar Beer Night will be featured at every Thursday home game during the 2017 season. Proper identification and wristbands are required for dollar beer night.
A spectacular post-game “Fireworks Show,” presented by Albertsons, will then be featured in the finale of the homestand on Friday, June 16.
WestStar Credit Union “Winning Wednesday” will be featured FOUR more times during the 2017 season. The remaining dates are: June 14 vs. Sacramento; July 5 vs. El Paso; July 19 vs. Fresno; August 9 vs. Reno.
If the 51s WIN, fans can redeem their tickets for a future Sunday through Tuesday “home” game (excluding Tuesday, July 4). In addition, each “WestStar Winning Wednesday,” one lucky fan will also be randomly selected to be the WestStar Winner of the Game! The winning fan will receive an autographed baseball from a 51s player, a seat upgrade for their group, and the opportunity to become the guest PA announcer for a half-inning that night.
The 51s will broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on NBC Sports Radio AM 920 ‘THE GAME’, which will carry live all 142 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.com. Russ Langer, the 10-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 18th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.

Sacramento’s roster features four of the top 10 prospects in the Giants organization, according to Baseball America: Top prospect: right-handed pitcher Tyler Beede; shortstop/third baseman Christian Arroyo (No. 2); outfielder Chris Shaw (No. 3) and right-handed pitcher Joan Gregorio (No. 7).
Following the homestand, Las Vegas will embark on a brief four-game road trip to Northern Nevada beginning on Saturday, June 17 against intrastate rival, the Reno Aces, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The series at Greater Nevada Field will conclude on Tuesday, June 20. The PCL will then have an off day on Wednesday, June 21.
SILVER STATE DIAMOND CHALLENGE: In 2009, Las Vegas and Reno developed the Silver State Diamond Challenge and the “Silver Plate Trophy” to add to the excitement to the rivalry for the two PCL teams that represent the state of Nevada. Reno defeated Las Vegas, 3-games-to-1, in the 2015 PCL Conference Championship Series.
The 2017 campaign will mark the ninth season of the S.S.D.C.

Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the SCE Federal Credit Union Box Office at Cashman Field. The box office is open Monday-Friday (non-game days) from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com).
The individual game tickets for the 71-game home season are priced at $11.00 (reserved, $12.00-Day of Game); $14.00 (plaza, $15.00-Day of Game) and $16.00 (field, $17.00-Day of Game) & the blue dugout seats at $30.00 ($35-Day of Game). The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza, field and reserved seats throughout the season.
TUESDAY, JULY 4: All seats for the “Fireworks Extravaganza,” presented by The Valley Health System, are priced at $16.00 (presale); $17.00-Day of Game. The 51s will host El Paso at 7:05 p.m.
