UNLV Game Notes
♦ UNLV is looking to extend their seven-game road win streak, which is the longest at the school since the 1994-95 season and tied for seventh-longest in the nation.
♦ The Lady Rebels are also one of nine teams with an undefeated road record this season at 7-0, which is tied for the fourth most wins among those teams. Only once before has UNLV posted an undefeated road record, as the 1977-78 squad went 6-0 in away games, part of an overall 23-2 mark where both losses came in neutral contests.
♦ To earn a sweep on the Bulldogs’ home court would not be easy though, as Fresno State comes into the game 8-2 in home games this year, 14-7 overall. UNLV has just two wins total in the Save Mart Center during FS’s nine years in the Mountain West.
♦ The game is also big for both teams in terms of MW tournament seeding, as the Bulldogs are currently third at 12-4 while UNLV is fourth at 11-5. A Lady Rebel sweep would move them ahead of the Bulldogs, while there is still potential for both teams to pass New Mexico.
♦ UNLV is one of the youngest and most inexperienced teams in the nation. The 11-player Lady Rebels roster is the sixth-youngest team in the nation with an average age of 19.5, while they are the only team in the nation with at least 90% of its roster that started the season with just one career total Division I start.
