LADY REBELS SIGN MARIAH ELOHIM TO ROSTER
The 5-foot-10 guard will become a Lady Rebel after playing a season at Fresno State and two seasons at Long Island University
UNLV women’s basketball has received a signed commitment from Mariah Elohim to join the Lady Rebels for the 2025-26 season, head coach Lindy La Rocque announced today.
“Mariah brings great experience and skill to our program,” said La Rocque. “We are excited about her dynamic scoring ability and more than anything, she is all about winning! A perfect fit for our championship culture. We’re thrilled to add Mariah and her family to Rebel Nation!”
Elohim, a 5-foot-10 guard from Westlake, Calif., played the 2024-25 campaign with Mountain West foe Fresno State and started her collegiate career at Long Island University. While with the Bulldogs, Elohim played in all 34 games and made 31 starts. She was the second-leading scorer for Fresno State with 9.7 points per game. Elohim averaged 1.6 rebounds per game, 1.7 assists and had a 1.2 ast/to ratio last season. She drained a season-high 23 points against CSUN and had 15 double-figure scoring games as a Bulldog. Elohim holds the ninth most minutes played as a junior in Fresno State history with 952 minutes played.
Prior to making her way back to the West Coast, Elohim spent her first two collegiate seasons at Long Island and marked a series of accolades which include, All-NEC Second team, four-time NEC Prime Performer (Feb. 12, Feb. 26, March 4 of 2024 and Feb. 27, 2023) and NEC Co-Rookie of the Week on Dec. 19, 2022. She played a total of 59 games for the Sharks and averaged 25.1 minutes per game. While as a Shark, Elohim recorded 23 double-figure scoring games including a career-high 30 points in a win over Chicago State.
Elohim joins Trystan James, Hodaya Kabada and Alexis Swillis as incoming players for the Lady Rebels for the 2025-26 season.
