UNLV Lady Rebels secured the Mountain West Regular Season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament for the fourth straight year, after a dominant 83-53 victory over Boise State on Wednesday night at Cox Pavilion.
Amarachi Kimpson dropped 23 points to lead the Lady Rebels (23-5, 15-1 MW) and shot 10-for-11 from the field and was a perfect 3-for-3 from the three-point line. Kimpson also dished four assists and had three steals on the night. Meadow Roland came off the bench and scored 16 points and brought down six rebounds. Kiara Jackson and Macy Spencer each had 12 points. Jackson also had four assists and three steals. Alyssa Brown led the squad in rebounds with 10 boards and tied her career-high in blocked shots with five.
The Broncos (16-13, 6-10 MW) were led by Natalie Pasco who had 12 points and Dani Bayes with 11 points. Tatum Thompson and Elodie Lalotte led Boise State in rebounds, each having six boards on the night.
TURNING POINT: After the first 10 minutes of play, the Lady Rebels and Broncos were tied 15-all. Boise State then scored five points to start the second quarter, but UNLV answered with five points to tie the game. The Scarlet & Gray then began a 10-point scoring run to take a 30-32 lead with 2:52 left before the half. With under a minute to play in the second quarter, the Lady Rebels increased the lead to double-digits, 40-28. Out of the break, UNLV did not let up off the gas, and went up by 20 points twice in the third quarter. The Lady Rebels held a 59-41 lead going into the final 10 minutes.

The Lady Rebels completed the MW regular season four-peat for the first time in program history. UNLV’s four-peat is the first in MW history since Colorado State completed the four-peat from 2014-17.

The Scarlet & Gray won their seventh straight game, which is the second-longest winning streak this season.

Under head coach Lindy La Rocque, UNLV is 9-1 against Boise State.

The Scarlet & Gray completed the regular season sweep over the Broncos.

UNLV forced 17 Boise State turnovers and scored 22 points off them.

The Lady Rebels dominated the paint, out-scoring the Broncos 42-18.

UNLV out-rebounded Boise State 47-40.
