The Edge Pavilion Announces a Pair of November
Shows Featuring Blood, Sweat & Tears and Jay Leno

Laughlin’s premier live entertainment venue, The Edge Pavilion, located at Edgewater Casino Resort, will bring two world-class performances to the stage in November featuring the legendary American jazz-rock band Blood, Sweat & Tears on Saturday, Nov. 16 and the comedic stylings of late-night legend Jay Leno on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Blood, Sweat & Tears are best known for their influence on American rock-jazz through their unique incorporation of a horns section into their tracks. Throughout their 50 continuous years of touring, which has even included playing the same day as Jimi Hendrix at the famed Woodstock, the veteran band has had many configurations, with each member being hand-selected by founding-member Bobby Colomby. Nominated for 10 Grammys resulting in three wins, including beating out “Abbey Road” for 1970’s Album of the Year, iconic tracks like “Spinning Wheel,” “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy” and “When I Die,” have endured for decades, with their self-titled album being inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002. Tickets for Blood, Sweat & Tears’ show on Saturday, Nov. 16 will start at $38.

Late-night legend Jay Leno rose to fame through his dominant career as the host of the #1 rated “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” for two decades, however these days he’s something of a renaissance man. Between hosting hit cable shows,  managing a bustling YouTube channel, selling his own line of autocare products and much more, Leno still manages to find time to perform more than 100 stand-up shows annually, a testament to his dedication to the craft. His storied career has resulted in many honors, including Emmy, People’s Choice and TV Guide awards, The Mark Twain Prize and a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, among many others. Tickets for Jay Leno’s show on Saturday, Nov. 30 will start at $75.

Tickets for all three shows will go on sale to the public beginning at 10 a.m. PDT on Thursday,  April 11. True Rewards Players Club members will have exclusive access to purchase presale tickets beginning at 10 a.m. PDT on Wednesday, April 10 through 9 a.m. PDT on Thursday, April 11. Tickets can be purchased starting at $38 at www.Edgewater-Casino.com.

About Blood, Sweat and Tears

Blood, Sweat & Tears is not the first band to ever use a horn section, but they are the first to fuse it with rock, jazz and blues genres. From the first ensemble in the late sixties practicing in a loft in New York’s Greenwich Village, founding member and drummer Bobby Colomby knew they were on the right course. Since then, the band has never stopped touring for over 50 years, even performing at the ever-iconic Woodstock on the same day as Jimi Hendrix in 1969. Blood Sweat & Tears went on to receive 10 Grammy nominations, resulting in 3 wins. Their 1969 self-titled album received the Grammy Award for “Album of the Year” in 1970, beating out the Beatles’ “Abbey Road,” and went on to earn quadruple Platinum status with sales well over 4 million units. Other prestigious awards and recognitions include “The Playboy Jazz & Pop Award,” their 1969 album’s induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002 and  their 2008 recognition as an Honorary Ambassador of Peace Republic of Korea. Blood Sweat & Tears has had many configurations over its 50 years. To this day Bobby Colomby still hand picks the musicians for every tour using the same theory, “Great Musicians Make Great Music.”      Currently fronted by vocalist Keith Paluso, featured in the 2018 season of hit-show “The Voice,” Paluso and the band are always looking to inspire the next generation of musicians.
