Country music superstar Kix Brooks – one-half the best-selling duo in country music history Brooks & Dunn – reveals national television appearances surrounding the release of his first-ever cookbook, Cookin’ It With Kix: The Art of Celebrating and The Fun of Outdoor Cooking, available tomorrow, August 30th, through W Publishing Group, an imprint of Thomas Nelson.
Showcasing that he is “just as creative behind a grill as a microphone” (American Profile), Brooks will kick off Labor Day weekend in New York City by firing-up some of his signature dishes on TODAY this Thursday (9/1 on NBC) before hosting Travel & Leisure’s (www.facebook.com/travelandleisure) Facebook Live Chat (9/1 @ 1:30P CST). Brooks will next appear on Fox & Friends (9/2 on FOX) on Friday before returning to Nashville for an autograph book signing on Saturday at the Country Music Hall of Fame (9/3 @ 3P CST at 222 5th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203). Additionally, Brooks & Dunn will also serve as a highlight during the first-ever CMT Concert Of The Summer: Jason Aldean & Friends Live At LakeShake (9/3 on CMT @ 7P CST). Written with long-time radio producer and friend Donna Britt, the upcoming book includes over 100 recipes showcasing Brooks’ passion for all types of outdoor cooking, oftentimes with a flare of his Louisiana heritage highlighted, in family recipes alongside personal stories. From side dishes to desserts, cocktails to hot sauces and duck gumbo to beignets, Brooks has created the perfect collection for get-togethers and easy entertaining.
In addition to his success as one-half of country music’s must successful duo of all time, Kix Brooks continues to his career as a solo touring/recording artist while simultaneously exploring new paths. The CMA Humanitarian award-winner’s extensive resume includes lead acting and film producer credits, three CMA “National Broadcast Personality of The Year” awards for American Country Countdown, a Cooking Channel series “Steak Out with Kix Brooks” and co-owner of Nashville’s award-winning winery Arrington Vineyards, which was just named the top Tennessee winery of the year for the third time by at the New York International Wine Festival.
